A 17th Century thatched cottage, close to the village centre, which has been converted in stunning style to provide exceptional self-catering accommodation. On the ground floor is a fully-equipped kitchen-diner with an oak-beamed ceiling and gas-fired stove in an inglenook fireplace, a lounge with TV, video and log-burning gas open fire; and a bathroom with shower and toilet. A dual-purpose garden room has stowaway twin beds. The lounge and garden room both have access through French windows to the delightful secluded garden.

Stairs lead up from the kitchen to the main bedroom which has a king-size bed, plenty of drawer and cupboard space, TV and an adjoining shower-room and toilet. In the interest of all concerned, no smoking or pets are allowed.

Westaway, 88 West Street. Situated in a quiet street with no through-traffic, leading to Corfe common, yet just five minutes walk from the village centre.

Accommodation comprises of two double en-suite rooms and one twin room with private bathroom. A delicious Aga breakfast, wonderful views of the Purbeck hills and a lovely rear garden with large wildlife pond.

Corfe Castle Holidays specialise in holiday cottages in Corfe Castle and the Isle of Purbeck. Equipment in cottages varies but most have microwaves, washing machines, dishwashers and VCR's in addition to more basic items. The cottages vary from one which can sleep only two, to others which can sleep up to nine. Each cottage is different and most are listed as being of historical or architectural interest.

Peak season prices range from £330 to £780 per week, but cottages are cheaper in spring or autumn at £150 to £395 per week when short breaks are usually possible.
