The Canterbury Tales
Our big production this year is a colourful recreation of five of Chaucer’s famous bawdy and robust tales as a group of travelling pilgrims gather at the Tabard Inn. It is a hilarious romp, in the authentic atmosphere of the Medieval period, in the true spirit of the orginal, with all its vibrance and hearty comedy.

At the Corfe Castle Village Hall
24th, 25th and 26th November 2011 at 7.30pm, with matinee at 2.30pm on the 26th November.
Adults £7, Children £5. OAPs £6 on Thursday 24th only.
Tickets from teh Corfe Castle Post Office in November, or from the Box Office on 01929 480323.
Party rates form teh Box Office only!

Put a Sock in it
Sometime in the future, drastic measures will have to be taken if life on Earth is to be sustained. Somewhere in the countryside, a village is reducing its emissions by banning socks.

This farce has its moments of near-brilliance. The scenes in the garden shed between members of the parish balance characters’ pantomimic physicalities with dialogue that is plain ridiculous. Boris the plant pot is an endless source of giggles… there is certainly enough tongue-in-cheek humour to last an hour.”

Learn essential painting techniques for oils and acrylics from a local exhibiting artist with a BA and MA in Fine Art.

Discover a structured way to develop your workand the benefits of exploring a theme over an extended period.

Make a portfolio of observations and studies leading to some final, carefully considered work.

Develop a platform for future development. Work in a purpose-built studio in the heart of Corfe Castle.

Dates December 12 -16

Alternatively, workshops are held every Wednesday (excluding those which coincide with the above dates).

£55 a day from 10am – 4pm, including lunch and wine.
