The Chambers' officers and committee are elected and serve voluntarily, carrying out their duties alongside those of running their own businesses. Input from all members is both welcomed and needed. We do urge you to attend members meetings, which are held quarterly. Committee meetings are held once a month and of course, matters for discussion by the Committee can be put forward. The Chamber greatly appreciates volunteers who are prepared to take on a specific project or issue, even if they are unable to spare the time for Committee membership.
Every attempt is made to keep the Chambers' annual subscription to a minimum, thus encouraging membership whilst recognising trading conditions that may be difficult. The subscription covers the cost of part-time secretarial work, stationery, printing, occasional advertising and donations etc., as well as membership of the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, upon whose wide range of experience we can always call.
