The Famous Five Adventure Trail 2012 enables Enid Blyton fans to participate in a Famous Five style adventure in the Dorset places that the author knew, and where she set some of her books. It will run from the beginning of Spring half term in June, to the end of autumn half term in November 2012.
It will be based on Five on Kirrin Island Again, the book where Uncle Quentin solved the world’s energy problems. We are delighted that one of the main sponsors is London’s Energy Institute, who is recognising Uncle Quentin’s contribution to science.
The Trail will take a couple of days to complete. Clue sheets will be downloadable from the Ginger Pop — Adventure Trail 2012 website in June.
Diary dates
7th June: Launch of Famous Five Adventure Trail 2012 at Swanage Railway
11th August: Enid Blyton’s Birthday Party at Corfe Castle
In 2012 people are still after Uncle Quentin’s secrets
– so come and join the adventure!
