The Isle of Purbeck offers some of the finest walking in the country. The 630-mile South West Coast Path starts from the the Studland ferry and winds its way to Minehead via Lands End. The sections from Studland to Swanage via Old Harry and then from Swanage to St Adhelms Head and Kimmeridge are particularly good and the walk from Kimmeridge to Durdle Door when the coast path is open is seen as one of the best walks in England.
Please Note: Sections of footpath between Chapmans Pool and Kimmeridge are currently diverted inland due to coastal erosion.
Corfe Castle is a great place to start exploring the Purbeck peninsula and is in easy reach or Studland, Old Harry, Swanage and the Coast Path.
Every May there is a Walking Festival in Purbeck including four walks from Corfe Castle.
