The Gallery at 41
41 East Street, Corfe Castle BH20 5EE.
Our gallery is set in a restored 17th century building in the heart of the historic village of Corfe Castle. We are surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Purbeck Hills and the World Heritage Coastline. This setting has inspired artists for generations and the area is a magnet for art lovers with its growing number and variety of galleries.
We specialise in the work of Dorset based painters and sculptors with invited regional artists.
We also display a range of carefully selected and beautifully crafted wood, glass, ceramics and jewellery.
Ian Harris Ceramics
East Street, Corfe Castle.
Ian’s workshop, situated in the beautiful Dorset village of Corfe Castle, is in a wonderfully atmospheric 18th Century Blacksmith’s Forge.
Here he creates unique hand built ceramic designs in stoneware, porcelain and raku, basing most of his ideas on observations of natural forms, such as pods, shells and pebbles.
Finished work can be bought direct from his Workshop, just 200 yards up from the Village Square.
14 West Street, Corfe Castle, Dorset, BH20 5HD
Our pretty shop has been a film location and was the inspiration for Lilliput Lane’s ‘Purbeck Stores’ miniature model, but is now a gift shop and gallery. With unique items from small UK producers, as well as some household names, it also has a large selection of art and crafts from within a 5 mile radius. There’s a seasonal emphasis, with fresh, locally grown flowers; hand-made decorations; and cards/wrap for all occasions.
We are open every day at 10:30am (except Xmas, New Year, and Easter public holidays).
Come and say hello! Browsers always very welcome.
